Beef Roll with Mixed Vegetables

The beef roll is for party food and dish. Very like.

Tips: 1. The vegetable can use golden mushroom, asparagus etc.

Ingredients

  • Beef Fillet(thin) 8~10 slices
  • Carrot 80g
  • Chinese Dried Mushrooms 4 pcs
  • Cabbage 250g
  • Oil 3 tbsps
  • SEASONINGS FOR BEEF
  • White Pepper Powder some
  • Mixed Herbs some
  • Salt some
  • SAUCE
  • Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Light Soy Sauce 1 tsp
  • Sesame Oil 1 tsp
  • Water 200ml
  • Cornflour(mix 2 tbsps water) 1 tsp

Method

Step 1

Soak Chinese dried mushrooms until softened, remove stalks and blanch it for 2 minutes, shred mushrooms.

Step 2

Clean carrot and cabbage, shred into 5 cm long. Set aside three-quarters of the cabbage shreds.

Step 3

Put beef fillet slices on the chopping broad, sprinkle a little pepper, salt and mixed herbs, place assorted shreds on beef slices and roll up, dust a little cornflour at the end to seal edge of roll.

Step 4

Heat a little oil in a frying pan, stir fry cabbage shreds for a minutes, add a pinch of salt and a little water, mix well and cook covered for 1 minutes, dish up.

Step 5

Heat 2 tbsps oil in frying pan, pan fry beef roll until surface is golden brown, add sauce seasonings and cook for 2 minutes. Place beef rolls on top of fried cabbage shreds.

Step 6

Add cornflour water thickening to sauce in the frying pan and cook until sauce thickens. Pour on top of the beef rolls.
