Brown Rice with Fresh Shrimps and Herbs

Ingredients

  • Brown Rice 3 measuring cups
  • Shrimp(shelll) 500 g
  • Celery(chopped) 1 stalk 3 Ts
  • Red Bell Pepper(chopped) 1 pc
  • Green Bell Pepper(chopped) 1 pc
  • Garlic(minced) 2 cloves
  • White Table Wine 125 ml
  • Chicken Broth 3 measuring cups
  • Mixed Herbs 2 tsp
  • Oliver Oil 2 tbsps
  • Salt some
  • White Pepper powder some

Method

Step 1

Wash the brown rice. Remove the shrimp shells, heads and intestines. Keep them aside, pat the shrimps dry for later use.

Step 2

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in the wok, saute the shells and heads over medium heat. Add the garlic, drizzle with the white wine, mixed herbs and chicken broth. Bring to boll and drain well.

Step 3

Place the brown rice into the rice cooker, pour in the stock until 3 cups level marked in pan then cook. Reserve 1/4 cup of stock for cooking.

Step 4

Heat the pan with 1 tbsp of olive oil, saute the shrimps, celery and peppers over medium heat. Sprinkle the reserved broth and mix well. Pour them over the cooked rice. toss well and serve hot.
