Hot and Sour Soup with Prawns(Tom Yum Goong)

Tips : The straw mushroom scald in water to remove smell.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Broth 2 cup
  • Fish Gravy 2 tbsp
  • Lime Juice 2 tbsp
  • Chili Paste 2 tbsp
  • Green Birds Eye Chili 1~2 pc
  • Red Birds Eye Chili 1~2 pc
  • Medium Prawns 5~6 pc
  • Straw Mushroom 150 g
  • Kaffir Lime Leaves 2 pc
  • Lemongrass 2 pc
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves 2 pc
  • Galangal 3~4 slice

Method

Step 1

Bring the chicken broth to the boil, add thr lemongrass, galangal and kaffir lime leaves. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 2

Add in the fish gravy, lime juice and chili paste.

Step 3

Taste and add lime juice and fish sauce if need to give it the hot and sour taste. Add the washed prawn and mushrooms, stir until the prawns are cooked.

Step 4

Serve immediately garnished with chopped chili and coriander leaves.
