Singaporean Satay

The skewer is Singapore style with spicy and sweet. The meat is soft.

Tips: 1.The marinade time need over 4 hour. Over night is the best.
2. If no charcoal fire, it can oven 7~8 minutes at 180 C.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Fillet 300g
  • Pork Tenderloin 300g
  • MARINADE
  • Peanut(chopped) 20g
  • Laos Root 5 g
  • Garlic(chopped) 5g
  • Turmeric Powder 2g
  • Coriander Powder 2g
  • Cumin Powder 2g
  • Sugar 2 tbsps
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • SATAY SAUCE
  • Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powcer 1 tsp
  • Assam Paste 1 tsp
  • Sallot(diced) 5 pcs
  • Coconut Milk 1/2 cup
  • Peanut Sauce 6 tsp
  • SEASONINGS
  • Sugar some
  • Salt some

Method

Step 1

Rinse the chicken fillet and pork tenderloin. Chop into cubes. Marinate with marinade for overnight.

Step 2

Heat 1/2 cup of oil to fry the satay ingredients in low heat. Add in seasonings and boil until reaching boiling point. Add the peanut sauce to make the satay sauce. Cool down and add in chopped peanut.

Step 3

Skewer the chicken and pork. Grill with charcoal fire for 7~8 minutes until done. To serve with the satay sauce.
